We check what your home qualifies for
Tell us what heats your home today and which utility bills you. We confirm the utility account, the current program rules and whether funding is open before you commit to anything.
Step 2
We size and install a qualifying system
A load calculation first, then a two-stage or variable-stage heat pump installed to the program requirements: Wi-Fi thermostat, Title 24 duct test, permit and inspection.
Step 3
The rebate comes off your invoice
On a SMUD job the rebate is applied on the invoice, so you pay the net price. You sign the application; we attach the test results and photos and file it.
Step 4
We collect from the utility
Alpha waits on SMUD, not you. Roseville Electric pays the homeowner directly, and we prepare that application the same way.

SMUD
SMUD customers qualify for rebates on a two-stage or variable-stage heat pump system installed by a SMUD Contractor Network member. We size the system, install it to the program requirements, apply the rebate on your invoice and file the paperwork.
How California heat-pump rebates stack, and what actually qualifies

Roseville Electric
Roseville Electric customers get a City-of-Roseville rebate on a qualifying heat-pump upgrade. The amount depends on what you are replacing, a gas furnace pays more than an existing heat pump, and the system has to meet the program minimums (16 SEER / 8.2 HSPF split, 15 SEER / 8.0 HSPF packaged, two-stage compressor, ductwork passing Title 24 via HERS CF3R). Limit two systems per household. We confirm address eligibility before scheduling and handle the paperwork.

Questions
How the rebates work
Do I have to switch from gas to get a rebate?
No. SMUD pays $1,000 when a two-stage or variable-stage heat pump replaces an existing electric system. The $3,000 and $2,000 amounts are for gas-to-electric conversions. Roseville Electric pays on both kinds of replacement too, at its own amounts.
How is the SMUD rebate paid on an Alpha job?
It comes off your invoice. You sign the SMUD application at the job, we file it with the test results and photos, and we collect the rebate from SMUD afterward. You do not wait for a check.
Can a SMUD rebate stack with Alpha coupons?
Yes. SMUD pays the rebate and our coupons come off our price, so the two do not compete. Repair coupons stay one per job.
What does the new system have to meet?
For SMUD: a two-stage (15.2 SEER2 minimum) or variable-stage heat pump, a Wi-Fi 7-day programmable thermostat, and a Title 24 duct test through HERS CF3R, installed by a SMUD Contractor Network member. Alpha Mechanical is one. Roseville Electric has its own minimums and a two-system limit per household, which we confirm before quoting.
What if SMUD funds run out?
Rebates are first come, first served while funding lasts, so we confirm current funding before you commit to anything.
I am on PG&E or another utility. What applies to me?
SMUD and Roseville Electric rebates go by the electric utility at your address, so neither applies elsewhere. We still quote, install and finance the same way, and we tell you at the estimate what your address qualifies for.
