Had a furnace problem, day before Thanksgiving. House freezing. Made one call, tech came that day! Problem fixed ... Thanksgiving saved. Great, local service.

Furnace repair, not replacement · Google review
Had an excellent experience with Alpha. They were able to repair the furnace and AC no problem after other firm said it needed to be replaced. Saved so much money and time by using them, highly recommend.

Straight answers
Heating repair questions, answered plainly
Do you charge by the hour for heating repair?
No. Every repair is priced as one flat rate, parts and labor in a single number, quoted in writing before a tool comes out. The number does not move if the job runs longer than expected, so a slow repair is our problem and not your bill. The only separate charge is the flat $89 diagnostic, and that is credited toward the repair when you hire us.
How much is a service call for heating?
A flat $89 diagnostic fee. One price no matter how long the diagnosis takes, credited toward the repair when you hire us, and not charged at all if we cannot identify the problem. That covers the diagnosis only. The repair itself is quoted separately and upfront, so you approve the number before any work starts.
Do you offer same-day heating repair in Sacramento?
Yes, on weekdays. Sacramento cold snaps arrive fast, and we book same-day diagnostic visits on no-heat calls across Sacramento, Fair Oaks and the surrounding areas. Call early in the day for the best chance at a same-day slot. To be straight about what that means: same-day visits are weekday service rather than an overnight dispatch, so if the heat quits at 2am the practical move is to stay warm safely and take the first slot in the morning.
Should I repair or replace my furnace?
It comes down to age, the specific failed part, and whether you are facing one repair or a pattern of them. Under 10 years old with a single failed component almost always favors repair. Past 15 years, with rising bills and a second or third failure, replacement usually wins, and in Sacramento a heat pump conversion can carry SMUD rebate money that a like-for-like gas furnace replacement does not, which changes the math. A cracked heat exchanger is a replacement call at almost any age, because it is a carbon monoxide safety issue rather than an economics question. We quote the repair first and tell you plainly when replacement is the better spend.
